Meet our Principal

Hi there New Boston Elementary School and Community! 

I’m Lindsay Skinner, the principal for Pre-K through 5^th grade.  I have been in education for more than 18 years.  I have previously worked at Texas Middle School, DeKalb High School, and Texas High School teaching math and being an assistant principal.  I’ve lived in Bowie County all my life, am married to a New Boston native, and have two children in the NBISD school system.

I absolutely love coming to school every day and working with our students.  To watch a student’s face light up when they find success is why I chose and love this job!  I often tell parents I will treat their children like my own until it is time to send them home.  I believe NBES should be and is a nurturing environment for our students with high expectations.  We want our children on the path to reach their dreams so we push them and love them along the way.

If you are new to our district or considering us in the future,  we would love to visit with you and give you a tour!  Our office staff can answer many questions about the community and how to navigate your way through the many opportunities available for school-age children in New Boston.
